DOJ Monitor Speaks Tonight

Meeting Set for Update on APD Reform

BY ABQ FREE PRESS STAFF City Councilor Don Harris will host a community meeting tonight with the U.S. Department of Justice monitor of the Albuquerque Police Department and the monitoring team. It is part of a series of meetings in the districts of all nine Albuquerque city councilors. Tonight's meeting will be from 6-8 p.m. at the Manzano Multigenerational Center, 501 Elizabeth St. SE. Attending will be Harris, U.S. Attorney Damon Martinez, DOJ Monitor James Ginger, City Attorney Jessica Hernandez, APD Assistant Chief Bob Huntsman, Albuquerque Police Officers Association President Sean Willoughby and other DOJ, APD and city officials.
