Nob Hill to Elect Pet Mayor

As part of this year's Nob Hill is 100 celebration, the Unleashed Pet Parade and Fair happens on Saturday, April 30. Check-in starts at 9 a.m., and the parade itself runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The parade route begins at Central and Bryn Mawr SE, near Nob Hill Bar & Grill. Note: Contrary to the parade title, all dogs must be leashed. Sponsored by H.B. Construction, the event will crown a Pet Mayor of Nob Hill, with prizes of three months to a year’s supply of quality pet food from Pet Food Gone Wild. Photos provided during registration are being shared and voted on via Nob Hill Main Street's Facebook page. At the event itself, the Nob Hill Pet Mayor will be announced. To browse candidates and vote for the Nob Hill Pet Mayor, visit: facebook.com/nobhillmainstreet/photos_stream. The celebration will also include local vendors and celebrity judges, costume contests, food trucks, adoptable dogs and cats and prizes and live music. For your furry friends participate, there’s a $25 registration fee that includes a human T-shirt, a pet bandana, a $10 Nob Hill Bar and Grill gift card and a gift bag with samples and coupons. Proceeds from the parade benefit Lap Dog Rescue of New Mexico, Paws and Stripes and Animal Humane of New Mexico. To register your best canine friend, visit bit.ly/NobHillUnleashed.
