Blanket Statement

BY SAMANTHA ANNE CARRILLO Scott Daniel Williams debuts outdoor installation “From Pink, To Blood Red” at Downtown exhibition space Off Lomas (602 13th Street N.W.) on Wednesday, March 30. Williams’ new work takes the form of 10 four-foot-by-six-foot flags. Fashioned from disaster blankets, these flags present a de-contextualized stanza of Williams’ poetry: “This Valley is filling with the blood of ghosts, and we are as close to drowning in blankets as we have ever been.” “From Pink,” the site’s second installation, will be on display through June 19.
